Hello & thank you for stopping by! I'm a realtime visual effects artist with nearly 15 years of professional experience working in the games industry. During that time, I've had the pleasure of working on Digital Extremes' third-person-shooter, Warframe & several titles in Square Enix's Final Fantasy series!

A bit more about what drives me, I've been an avid gamer from a young age. Starting out on the apple IIe my mother brought home from her classroom during summer breaks, then upgrading to the NES & later SNES. As an effects artist, I've always loved the mix of techinical and artistic knowledge required by the craft. As a passonate learner, I find great satisfaction in exploring new techniques & getting familiar with new (and often strange) software that can help me work more efficiently. Furthermore, as a longtime sci-fi fan of media like Empire Strikes Back & Doctor Who, I feel most at home making effects for often far off worlds!


My Warframe Production Reel (2021) 

This reel showcases some of the effects work I've done for Digital Extremes' third-person-shooter, Warframe. As the team has been small (read: 2) for the majority of the time I was with the company I've had the privilege of creating a large variety of effects for the game, including enemy, character & environmental!

For a more thorough breakdown of this reel, click here. Otherwise, here are a few notes about it:

  • For the second shot of the "ship" crashing into tower, I created, placed & setup the effects in the scene but cannot take credit for the cool animation of the large falling debris chunks. An animator was tasked with that!
  • Same with the giant skybox worms in the two shots prior to the concluding scene. I didn't animate those but all other necessary effects, post-process scripting, etc. I took care of!

My Square-Enix Production Reel (2012) 

This is my other production reel from my time at Square Enix. It contains effects I created for the three Final Fantasy titles I worked during my time in Tokyo. It was an amazing place to "get my feet" wet in the world of game effects to be sure!
